José Neto was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and started playing guitar at the age of four. His family, as so many others in Brazil, played music, and Neto first learned to play guitar from his mother, and then from his uncle. His father introduced him to the music of Jimi Hendrix, and Neto instantly took to the exciting blend of influences that Hendrix displayed. At the age of 18, he moved to New York City and shortly thereafter as hired by Harry Belafonte for his touring band, serving over 20 years with Harry. Click Here for More Neto Band Bio's
